As of 2022, Oleon and its shareholder the Avril group will embark on a voluntary journey and join the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This initiative is a joint project of the Carbon Disclosure Project CDP, the United National Global Compact, the World Resource Institute (WRI) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). SBTi aims to encourage companies to set greenhouse gas emission reduction targets consistent with scientific recommendations in an effort to limit the global temperature increase to 2°C above preindustrial level. Oleon is committed to reduce all our direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions (expressed in CO2eq) by 30% by 2030. This commitment is in line with the Science-Based Targets initiative. At the same time, we will develop a “net zero” emissions trajectory to help achieve global carbon neutrality by 2050.
