Renewable raw materials are at the heart of our business. More than 95% of the raw materials we source are renewable and we continuously take action to protect our natural resources and biodiversity. Next to this, we search for greener alternatives to the functional properties that now only can be provided by (partially) non-renewable raw materials. Moreover, Oleon also strives to reduce the impact of all our raw materials by making sustainable choices, not in the least to reduce the carbon footprint of our products. Today, thanks to our in-depth understanding and a well-defined methodology, we are able to compare the carbon footprint of our different key raw materials. The carbon footprint is not only linked to the crop’s yield, but also to the agricultural practices. This information allows us to support our customers in making more sustainable choices.
