In addition to its emulsifying properties, Jolee® 7908 is effective against multiple bacteria, particularly Gram+ bacteria and yeasts when used at low usage levels of between 0.1 and 5% in combination with:
- chelating agents (EDTA)
- antioxidants (BHT)
- potentiating agents (lactic and citric acid)
- polyphosphates or polypeptides.
Jolee® 7908’s efficacy has been assessed at pH 4.0 and 7.0 for the following microorganisms: Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans, Aspergillus brasiliensis.
Supporting results were determined with the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration or MIC (according to the CLSI method).
