Jolee® 7908 – the perfect emulsifier & preservative combination



With formulators pressed for time, we focus on the development of multi-functionality in our raw materials and ingredients, including our emulsifier and antimicrobial ingredient, Jolee® 7908.

Jolee® 7908 offers

In addition to its emulsifying properties, Jolee® 7908 is effective against multiple bacteria, particularly Gram+ bacteria and yeasts when used at low usage levels of between 0.1 and 5% in combination with:

  • chelating agents (EDTA)
  • antioxidants (BHT)
  • potentiating agents (lactic and citric acid)
  • polyphosphates or polypeptides.

Jolee® 7908’s efficacy has been assessed at pH 4.0 and 7.0 for the following microorganisms: Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans, Aspergillus brasiliensis.

Supporting results were determined with the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration or MIC (according to the CLSI method).
